since i started reading stasher i get more updates on hacks and vulns than ever. not like i was intentionally following this field. but i started thinking how is that crypto and related projects on which tech people work who actually know the math and the code still get drained. banks are not even tech projects and i never see one get hacked the same way. not in the news at least. how does that make sense they should be targeted? is it just that they just hide things and its not in the news or something else?

which country do you live (1)
but for sure most people afraid to tell that, but i can assure you, if you mention any country, THEY almost guarantee had news about bank getting hacked (2)

but if we talking about crypto and compare it to bank its not apple to apple

instead we should try to compare crypto with traditional wallet.
Does crypto can get hacked? YES
Does traditional wallet on pocket can get stolen? YES

banks get hacked every day, but they don't want customers to know and i'll tell you a story.

i went to my bank to ask about a safety deposit box and they don't have any and the guy tells me that robbery doesn't really happen anymore becuase "the bank has nothing to steal" so i said "well it isn't a bank then is it" he looked confused and i left.

bank has what's called a black screen they can make money any time so if they theoretically lose some they've suffered no actual loss. the interesting point is all contract law involves the gain for one party compensated by a payment to a party who's suffered a loss. with bank debt the whole basis of contracting law is invalid. what loss?

hack a crypto thing
transfer funds to your wallets
run away into the sunset (as long as it wasn't something that can be frozen)
hack a bank
let's say you manage to transfer funds
how tf you gonna cash out? You need a whole web of mules and connections
every bank account connected to the operation is gonna be frozen and investigated
multiple countries investigating
everything is burning around you
even the north koreans turn you away
die

Plus gotta think about.. you hear about when crypto things get hacked cause people can monitor various chains and get automatic alerts for weird activity

Bank shit is under wraps
Even when things happen, reporting might be on the down low, just to governments

No one wants panic

Look up Paraguay rn

A private bank just went under and froze accounts overnight, riots everywhere

Panic is bad

Cryptobros can't panic xD
They just cry (like me)

#I have no experience in hacking
