The following terms and conditions, together with the Privacy Policy and any other documents expressly incorporated by reference (collectively, the "Terms of Service"), govern your access to and use of Stasher News (stasher.news) and any content, functionality, and services offered on or through it (the "Website"), whether as a guest or a registered user.

To access the Website or some of the resources it offers, you may be asked to provide certain registration details or other information. It is a condition of your use of the Website that all the information you provide on the Website is correct, current, and complete. You agree that all information you provide to register with this Website or otherwise is governed by our Privacy Policy, and you consent to all actions we take with respect to your information consistent with our Privacy Policy.

You also acknowledge that your account is personal to you and agree not to provide any other person with access to this Website or portions of it using your user name, password, or other security information.

We have the right to disable any user name, password, or other identifier, whether chosen by you or provided by us, at any time in our sole discretion for any or no reason, including if, in our opinion, you have violated any provision of these Terms of Service.

RewardsRewards

Stasher News distributes the revenue it collects from posting, comment, boost, tip, downvote, and turf fees, as well as donations, back to stashers who contribute to the site. Rewards are denominated in Monero (XMR) and are subject to the rules described on the rewards page and in the FAQ. We may change reward parameters, minimum payout thresholds, or reward mechanics at any time.

Monero Payments and Non-Custodial NatureMonero Payments and Non-Custodial Nature

Payments on the Website — tips, posting and comment fees, turf fees, boosts, downvotes, and donations — are made in Monero (XMR) directly between user wallets. Tips are paid peer-to-peer from the tipper's wallet to the recipient's wallet; the platform never takes custody of tips. Fees, boosts, and downvotes are paid to the platform's rewards wallet and redistributed to stashers as weekly curator rewards.

Monero payments are final and irreversible. Once a transaction is confirmed on the Monero blockchain, it cannot be reversed, refunded, or cancelled by us or by the sender. Always verify the amount and address shown before confirming any payment; mistakes cannot be undone.

You are responsible for securing your account credentials and your wallet. We store only the view keys required to observe payments, encrypted at rest; we never hold spend keys and cannot spend or recover your funds on your behalf. If you lose access to your account or your wallet, the funds associated with them may be permanently lost.

Rewards and tips received through the Website may have tax implications in your jurisdiction. You are solely responsible for determining and satisfying any tax obligations arising from your use of the Website.

TrademarksTrademarks

The Stasher News name and related marks are provided without warranty of any kind. Nothing in these Terms of Service grants you any right to use any trade names, trademarks, service marks, logos, or brand features.

Prohibited UsesProhibited Uses

You may use the Website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms of Service. You agree not to use the Website:

  • In any way that violates any applicable federal, state, local, or international law or regulation.
  • To transmit, or procure the sending of, any advertising or promotional material, including any "junk mail", "chain letter", "spam", or any other similar solicitation.
  • To impersonate or attempt to impersonate Stasher News, a stasher, or any other person or entity.
  • To engage in any other conduct that restricts or inhibits anyone's use or enjoyment of the Website, or which, as determined by us, may harm the Website or users of the Website, or expose them to liability.

Additionally, you agree not to:

  • Use the Website in any manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair the site or interfere with any other party's use of the Website.
  • Use any robot, spider, or other automatic device, process, or means to access the Website for any purpose, including monitoring or copying any of the material on the Website, except where the Website provides an RSS feed or public API for that purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to, interfere with, damage, or disrupt any parts of the Website, the server on which the Website is stored, or any server, computer, or database connected to the Website.
  • Attack the Website via a denial-of-service attack or a distributed denial-of-service attack.
  • Otherwise attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Website.

The Website may contain forums and other interactive features that allow users to post, submit, publish, display, or transmit content or materials (collectively, "User Contributions") on or through the Website.

All User Contributions must comply with the Content Standards set out below. Any User Contribution you post to the site will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary. By providing any User Contribution on the Website, you grant us and our licensees, successors, and assigns the right to use, reproduce, modify, perform, display, distribute, and otherwise disclose to third parties any such material.

  • Remove or refuse to post any User Contributions for any or no reason in our sole discretion.
  • Take any action with respect to any User Contribution that we deem necessary or appropriate in our sole discretion, including if we believe that such User Contribution violates the Terms of Service, including the Content Standards, infringes any intellectual property right, or threatens the personal safety of users of the Website or the public.
  • Share information about you with third parties only to the extent required by law. The Website does not collect identity documents or other personally identifying information beyond what is minimally necessary to operate the site, and we do not voluntarily disclose user information to anyone.
  • Take appropriate legal action, including without limitation, referral to law enforcement, for any illegal or unauthorized use of the Website.
  • Terminate or suspend your access to all or part of the Website for any or no reason, including without limitation, any violation of these Terms of Service.
