When you do XMR transactions your wallet takes extra coins as decoys to obfusicate the spend amounts. You could have 10 XMR in a wallet and after a few stasher upvotes, replies and post fees you can't make any more tx because your balance is tied up in decoys. Stops spam, cools arguments. More thoughtful stashing.
Some may hate it but to me,
it's a feature not a bug.
The way around this is to create extra outputs in your wallet. Send come coins to yourself (same wallet). If you're using cakewallet or feather you can even use coin control to choose which output to split.
One current work around behind the delay is to have a second wallet. It's rather easy to switch between them in Cake 😊

should fix it. no ring signatures no decoys. that's what i understand. big if true.
