I think that is the case for most AAA studios, a lot of the great titles released in the past were made by people no longer in those studios.

This is partly to do with the fact most of them are public joint stock companies embezzled with Vanguard and Blackrock's DEI globalist initiatives.

I honestly would only be interested in a AAA game that Valve pushes out at this stage - because they are private and don't need outside assistance to produce games.

This is one reason why most of my gaming has now moved to the table. There are no subscriptions, pay to win mechanics (excluding MtG), ID verifications etc. it gets people off devices and meeting face to face while reducing digital footprints.

Most tabletop publishers are small and the games are funded by their own customers not an investment firm. Since the games are physical you can sell them on when done too.

Most AAA titles are now tabletop games too, MGS, Tekken, Last of Us, Divinity, Quake, etc
