Mostly curious to know and learn more about stashers' strategies for having a growing stash. Wanna share?

Compartmentalise your income streams:
make dollars → spend dollars when dollars are needed;
make yen → spend yen when yen are needed;
make XMR → spend XMR when XMR is needed.

Do not burn time and money converting: conversion fees are a tax too.
It is a digital-gypsy perspective: I treat it as Moneroland, just another country. E.g. I keep many exotic paper bills and never convert them back when I leave, because you never know if / when you’ll be back.
Same rule here: earn a separate XMR stream, stash it, and use it only inside the circular economy if and when you actually need to.
Fiat covers the bills (preferably with room left to invest), XMR stays XMR.

But at the end of the day, time is the ultimate currency. So the price is not currency. It is time. Prioritize what you love spending time on: e.g. I can earn much much more in fiat if I give those hours to my fiat projects, but I just like hanging with Monero people more than fiat people, so I invest the hours in Moneroland :)
If you are not hungry, just maximize happiness <3

xmrbazaar, sell what you don't need.

stasher news, post news, original content, engaging discussions, guides, tip good content to qualify for rewards.

Keep track of your finances - basic, but, keep track at what price you spent monero. If you buy something on xmrbazaar when price is high, then next week Monero price dips 10%, rebuy the amount you spent. You have the same amount of monero + got a product/service on discount. A lot of small optimizations you can make to your savings + spending strategy.

exactly - small habits beat heroic bursts "buy the dip"!

  • XmrBazaar to "declutter into picos" :)
  • StasherNews to "write into picos" etc...

Learn and earn.

If you have an old cpu sitting around or a couple of spare parts put together a mining rig.

Monero can be harder, yes to get your hands on for newbs but OGs move it around like butter on bread.

Retoswap, haveno, monerica, man the list is endless. They all have people to trade with, jobs, bounties, postings and more if you wanna go hard.

It really all depends what you like and how ambitious you are.

Mining is one of the easiest ways but it cost power and equipment.

I love infrastructure, independent systems and ops. I probably have one of the rarest fleets around for an at home miner.

But for me Monero isn't about money it's about what it stands for.

I guess what I'm saying.

I stack out of pure fucking PASSION!

Asking is the first step.

You got a computer. You can earn. Check out the Monero Mining thread here that I'm building or there is deeper versions online as well to poke at. Gupax does make it super simple though.

Learn

You said it all here, L-earn

There would be no wealth without knowledge.

That's why I ask this question in the first place :)

100% agree with “stack out of pure fucking PASSION!” ❤️‍🔥
"Gupax does make it super simple"… IF you’re not doing it on Whonix :)))
...but if you’re already on Whonix, you weren’t looking for the simple life anyway xD

Monero is money. You don't buy money. You earn it.

reply

I never said buy, and if someone does, I've no issue with that. Yet, let me ask better: how do you earn your picos?
