Slowly but surely it dawns on Bitcoin community how serious the problems with "tokenomics" design of Bitcoin are. Monero's ASIC resistance mining and privacy features are one element, but also the tail emissions are key in Monero being superior for long-term sustainability and its use case as digital money.

This is probably a good thing. The point of mining is firstly to get wild units into people's wallets permissionlessly as long as they have access to electricity and the internet and secondly to secure the network from bad actors.
