Yeah, I know it has been, but cameras weren't nearly as pervasive or high quality so it wasn't as bad as today where there's ALPRs all over the place combined with ring cameras everywhere combined with lots of stores using facial recognition. Also, the automation and interconnectedness of the systems like you mentioned makes it a lot worse.

I have some anti-facial recognition gear, but that's a killer site!
I think facial recognition is just a line in the sand for me. It's somewhat arbitrary, but lines in the sand often are.
