I’ll hire a team of world-class hackers to steal all the Monero belonging to that guy I dislike, leaving him to go back to living a penniless life. Haha! (∩_∩)

no mercy. monero.

Just a thought—might never actually put it into practice, haha (∩_∩)

Haha, maybe I'll leave him some Monero to keep him going, but I'll add a note: "Be grateful for my mercy, bro."

Mercy? Based retracted

Because I'm a good person. Haha.

You're assuming that mercy for your enemies is an indication of good character (I don't agree). Of course the type of enemy matters here. If someone made fun of you once in 2nd grade I think mercy is reasonable.... unless he stole your fruit snacks too!

Even if the price of Monero were to skyrocket one day, the coin’s extreme privacy features mean no one can know exactly how much Monero another person holds. Someone might own just 5 Monero; yet, if I were to hire a top-tier hacker to steal them, the cost could run as high as 500 Monero. Even if I succeeded in stealing those 5 coins, the hacker would likely just laugh at me: "Hey, what is this fool doing? He spent 500 Monero just to steal 5!" Haha.

You can't buy principal. Maybe spending the 500 results in a robust deterrence from future enemies that fends off 600 worth of future damages. What's the net present value of hiring a hacker to steal all the funds from your enemy as a form of deterrence? The world may never know lol.

For deterrence to work, I have to let him know that I was the one who did it. That is the only way I can exert a deterrent effect on him. If he doesn't know I was behind it, then no matter how much Monero he loses, I won't be able to deter him.

But the question is: "How could I possibly let him know I did it? Have I lost my mind?" Hahahaha.
