We deployed an update to Stasher News this morning.

Tuning Daily OpsTuning Daily Ops

The largest change is a tuning of the Daily Ops quests and flame rewards. It was awarding way too many free replies, thus impacting the ability of the rewards pool to accumulate rewards, and therefore reduced incentive to rank posts, and weakened spam prevention. This breaks Stasher's incentives, so we had to dial it back with the amount of free replies from the Daily Ops and Flame streak. We added a new type of reward to replace some of the free replies.

Boost credit: available from the flame streak rewards. Spend it on one of your own posts to get the same ranking effect as a 0.5 mXMR boost. Users can hold a max of one boost credit.

There is also a max cap of 10 free replies that any user can hold. If you have over 10 now, you are grandfathered in, you won't lose those free replies, but you won't be able to accumulate any more until you drop under 10.

Other changes:

  • More pins. Turf and post owners can now pin up to 6 posts, up from 3.
  • Editing posts/comments. Once a post or comment is locked (10 minutes after posting), you can attach a short "addendum" below it, a clearly-marked extra note, without altering the original.
  • Awarding bounties is easier. The award button now appears directly under comments, including in long threads and on permalinks, instead of hiding in the ⋯ menu.
  • Under the hood: we repaired the rewards wallet's internal bookkeeping, making weekly curator payouts more reliable and easier to audit.
  • and other bug fixes

FCMP stressnet #3 is underway.FCMP stressnet #3 is underway.

Stressnet #3 began on October 5, 2026. We have a version of Stasher News almost ready to participate in the stressnet, with several improvements to core systems for auditing and reconciliation of platform wallets facilitated by FCMP outgoing viewkeys. This will be tested internally throughout the stressnet leading to the mainnet launch to ensure we have a robust and safe implementation ready to go when the day comes.

We are now working through some of the open github issues.

That's all for now. Happy stashing!
