1 time every year (1 April) rebalance by selling over value back to 25% and buy underperforming back to 25% and you get 16% pa return. over simplified. concept is called volitility harvesting.

You actually don't have to sell to rebalance if you do dynamic rebalancing. Just direct the flow of new capital into adjusting your current weighting to your desired weighting. Back when portfolio visualizer had free robust back testing I back tested a portfolio of gold, silver, and cash and it did pretty well actually and those are all acquirable maintainable outside of the system. I also think things that people often don't think about like natural disaster preparedness goods or machines allowing for greater self-reliance are good investments. Modern supply chains are very fragile and if wars or disasters break out even in a localized area it can have a major negative impact.
