Everyone remembers their first Monero. How did you get yours?

Mining on a laptop that sounded like a jet engine? A P2P trade? A friend who wouldn't shut up about it until you caved? An ATM at 2 AM?

Tell the story — the sketchier the better.

I started with Bitcoin early. The first Monero was mining, and swapping BTC for XMR.

I don't have a cleaner first-click than that. The coins showed up from the machines, and from moving bitcoin over, because you can pretty much figure out where every bitcoin has been, and I was done pretending that was private.
