Thanks for reminding me about the ape's secular superstition, it's so ingrained... I call it social indoctrination. They are like us, full of life. Nothing to discriminate against. It is also true that being part of a society, even a small community, means giving up on some freedoms. It's all about balance, isn't it?
War is just business and, from my morally incomplete perspective, useless. Not sure why Monero people are so focused on it. Fear? Ideology of strength, power and dominion over... who know what. Is it a manly thing?
From my experience, death is not for everyone; the majority of us die without learning how-to. Most do not even get time to learn how to live; imagine learning how to die.
Theology goes above and behind the "Bible", that just the greatest story ever told. It must be interpreted accordingly.
While I don't agree with your dissent on evolution or with abrahamism in general, I will say that the referenced passage is valuable wisdom as is the art of war passage. I also agree that society has devolved into a shallow hedonism and morally and spiritually corrupt dystopia. I would supplement, people who will not kill for anything will also not live for anything. Dying is passive. Anyone can lay down and die. Not everyone can exert the pure force of will required to destroy those who seek to subjugate them.
I personally can be discouraged but never despair.
The problem with this line of thinking is that it is the exact presupposition that has been intentional engineered in the school system and pop culture that will make you give up.
The idea that humans evolved from apes is a secular superstition, like climate change, gender fluidity or Keynesian economics. It aligns with their view of eternal progress and utopian systems of centralised government.
Upon reflection you will find all these superstitions are not only novel but used to demoralise people into simple daily pleasure seeking, the exact psychological environment needed to control people through technology.
People who will not die for anything will also live for anything.
We live in a lawless society where the majority of individuals, families, churches, businesses and government lack morals.
Even the Art of War outlines high moral character as the bedrock of an efficient army:
Such a society and people who forsake this are doomed to self-destruction.
You mentioned theology, this concept is throughout the Bible and is a tale as old as time.
For those who are humble, hope and strength is found within it's pages by carefully searching it out. For those who are proud, let what is dying die.
