"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."

It rings true for many things in life.

I would recommend to what you can to cover the different risks or topics you worry about, maybe have some backup power, a garden, mylar bags filled with shelf stable foods for long term food storage (works well as a 1 and done - rice, oats etc lasting 15-30 yrs), some alternative financial assets (well, this is assumed given we're here on stasher xd)

Make peace with what may happen, some choose to surrender to God, but you can find that peace in other means as well. I (try to) surrender somehow to the universe, and the things that are way outside of my control.

You also get the choice to disconnect from what isn't serving you.

Do you spend a long time on news, twitter, youtube with doom content, consistently ruminating? If you do, perhaps consider the gain vs loss on the time spent in that way on your life - financial spiritual etc. If that trade isn't working out for you, make a change.

Oh man, thanks for making this bounce in my empty skull again. Fully forgot about this maxim. I'll need to make a sign out of it and stick it to my fridge.

Oh, I see it: we have control of nothing, yet the illusion to contribute to something is so strong that it becomes real every time we simply imagine it. To do so is important to keep the mind clean from all noise produced by society, all the meaningless problems we believe need to fix.

I appreciate your view and comment, thanks for sharing.
