. Since I am on NixOS I figured I would try building it on my system, just for the lolz. Well, one thing led to another and I now have 3 PRs open against the cuprate repo

 to the nixpkgs repo to see if Cuprate can be added directly to the nix repo so install would be as simple as adding

* [#728](https://github.com/Cuprate/cuprate/pull/728) adds instructions for building from source and running on NixOS
* [#729](https://github.com/Cuprate/cuprate/pull/729) adds a question and answer to the FAQ which explains how cuprate got its name and how versions get their codenames. I got that info directly from SyntheticBird
* [#730](https://github.com/Cuprate/cuprate/pull/730) would add a `default.nix` recipe for a one command compile along with instructions.

I also ended up submitting [#578537](https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/579537) to the nixpkgs repo to see if Cuprate can be added directly to the nix repo so install would be as simple as adding `pkgs.cuprate` to `configuration.nix`.
