Always-editable posts

What: The ability to edit a post at any time, with each edit costing a post fee.

Why: Right now a post can be edited for the first ten minutes. After that, only a 200-character addendum is allowed. That isn’t enough when a post needs an important change, a correction, or something added or removed.

How: Keep the first ten minutes free, as now. After that, each edit would cost one post fee (or one and a half), so it can’t be abused. To keep it transparent, the system could work like version control: past versions stay accessible, and each edit carries a short note saying what changed, like a commit message.
