pull down to refresh

I spent years neglecting my body by working in an office all day, not working out enough, not eating decent food, not getting outside enough and drinking and smoking too much.

It was only when I started a construction industry career that I realised how unfit, weak and skinny I was and after many months of being worn out from manual labour I have finally reached the point where I have enough energy to do my job and go to the gym a few times a week.

Creatine, Magnesium and Zinc have helped massively, as well as eating tons more fatty meat wherever possible and drinking more water, whilst also cutting right down on the beer and cigs. I feel fitter and more energetic than I ever have in my life and I’m basically middle aged.

Health is wealth. I want to stack Monero even harder now as a gym bro!

What exercises do you all do?

i never went to a gym and i never will

i go jogging everyday + biking + swimming
i have my own body weight always with me.

-> push ups + i have my own autistic way to train my stomach + ass / upper legs by just sitting down on the floor and then lifting legs and upper body

why go to the gym when you have nature and your own body ? maybe you can convince me otherwise but I also have the firm belief that the vibes are off about these places

it is a weakly held belief because I never went but I went to a yoga class for a while and it was in a gym like place in the sense that it had lots of mirrors on the side of the walls

also i was on my bike on a beautiful day and i rode by a gym, people sitting on their hamster wheels with head phones on

on the one hand the mirrors and the presence of the other, appearance focused people that you know all watch the same algorithm on their instagram

and then the tuning out and distraction from their own body by using earphones

it just seems like a horrific experience. That makes you more self conscious and focused on your own body image while at the same time cutting you off from its senses through earphones and air conditioning

okay thanks for coming to my TED talk

This reminds me of the time I was in Telluride, Colorado to run a race. Telluride is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited and there are people in the hotel working out in the way you just described. I couldn’t for the life of me understand why they would be inside when they could be walking, biking, running or whatever in those mountains.
Too many modern humans are indeed disconnected from nature.

I’m a trail runner mainly but I mix it up with plenty of cross training including, but not limited to, mountain biking, rowing, hiking, and weightlifting.

Walking, Swimming, Cycling, Strength, Running, Rollerblading, Commuting, and Yard Work are all my staples.

Depending on the time of year one or three is done more than the other.

dont know what you are training for but mix of function, masculine maxing and sex appeal add: traps - farmers and shrugs (wide grip), grip strength - hangs. Plus Uphill farmer or walk or run or stairs because as we all know ladies are absolute back pocket perverts.
