I would definitely support lowering the limit a bit further if you made that decision, but the .6 current limit does ensure the rewards are sustained for a good while, so I think it makes sense there too.
Lowering it to .5 would be a nice round number, and would extend the donation's effect for a couple more weeks, so if i could vote for any amount, I think I'd vote for that for now.
Regardless, I have been greatly enjoying spending time on here, I am left feeling much better than doomscrolling anywhere else, so whatever keeps this going, I support.
I saw some push-back on the post about limiting the weekly reward pool payout to .6 XMR, and wanted to post why I think that limit makes sense. Having incentives for all of the actors involved on the site is important to keep the site thriving, and the reward system is a great way to keep…
I agree with the sentiment here, the variable fee is a good idea and a great step in the right direction. It's great to see the admins working with the community in a quick and responsive way, especially with the community's best interests at mind :)
I think we can all agree there is still room for refinement, but this is already a much more sustainable way to go about the distribution.
For the average user, I think it makes sense for the reward pool to be a 'rebate' for your tips to keep tipping sustainable but not a game for profit.
Also, If the platform grows steadily, I think that rewards at this level split among many people make it so it probably wouldn't even be worth someone's time to sink hours into gaming the system for a few bucks of monero. Especially with the trust system playing as much of a role as it currently does in the payouts.
TLDR, good shit! @stasher
