I think this summarizes a lot of business in general, which is why they work so hard to protect their trade secrets because if everyone knew well... they might do it their own way, have competitors, and essentially lose business. It can also make things highly more competitive > looking at China as an example where things are open-source to the sense there is little to no IP/patents enforcement or atleast that it is considered normal for people to "steal" and in the end, you get a lot more innovation (and cheap knockoffs), plus it's also much cheaper to execute over there where the factories are (rapid acceleration and execution). Point being, it seems in the West so much of this is protected as it's viewed as the company's longevity. Anyone dominating an industry or specific sector will do just about anything to maintain that power, largely following the principle or idea you shared here "Shirky".
Sometimes it is ironic how things work out in the end, like the cobra example above.
Super clean, love this retro style. How many KM? Looks like it's in really good condition
pt1
I'm all for it on a free market, but can't comment really on the legalities or potential risks involved. I can speculate, but my general perspective on this is a free market and one indeed that should be free to create commerce, of any kind. Not that we want all kinds, but you don't get to pick and choose in a free market what is bought/sold, only what trades you partake in and support.
pt2
After referencing related discussion on legalities, I'm not sure how much of a gray field it really is. Seems pretty defined, depending on the country and jurisdiction, with their rules. There is no doubt of it being potentially flagged/investigated, but I suppose that goes with anything, any market, any service.
Is the deeper concern here... should XMRBazaar keep this as a service because it's needed and wanted or should XMRBazaar reduce its risk exposure, leading to unwanted troubles, hoping to maintain its uptime and longevity? I would assume that's the gist, but I could be wrong.
lmao, this hurts too good.
9/10 times, yes. Most of the time if I engage, sign up or test just for curiosity's sake, it is exactly what I knew before I engaged. Cheap, lacking thought, planning, and what feels like trying to bang out and ship with a one-liner prompt. Regardless if hours weren't spent, let me say... it isn't evident.
The last questions are great food for thought. I think we will get used to it, but it's like a mosquito in a room at night. We don't know where it is, too tired to look for it, try to hide under the blanket, eventually turn on the light and look, and potentially still can't find it. I think regardless, it is something we have to accept and learn to live with, but that does not mean deem it respectable or lower our standards. Continue to call out bullshit, regardless of AI or human slop. If people are building something truly, they will listen to feedback and try to iterate and improve. There's nothing wrong with not knowing, but there is something inherently wrong with outsourcing your entire mental capacity to AI alone. It should be used to leverage what drives you and an extension to support you, rather than driving you... or as the cool kids like to call it now, "cuck-coding".
For one thing, I am "used to AI art and posters > marketing materials" but it's just an eye sore and an internal hole in the soul.... especially for pixel art. "Look it looks so real", nah it really doesn't... at least yet. Like everything, this tech is a double-edged sword.
My real question is:
We know the technology will get better, but will humanity?
also curious of this ^
This is awesome! I would love to see the M below and MoneroChan on the back, brings more life to the coin/chip.
Can we add a "Report to Thought Police" button on StasherNews? :kek:
Blessing us with some transcendentalism I see. Have always loved Thoreau
I long for a greater influx of capital into Monero—like a surging river flowing into the vast ocean—and fortunately, I own a part of those waters.
Lol, love it. I think we should replace money with Monero and instantly make all quotes a higher caliber.

Appreciate that kindly, we do our best to take in all feedback and prioritize it accordingly, especially if a feature or comment is brought up multiple times. Honestly though, it makes it a lot more enjoyable when you actually have people with the right attitude and especially people who contribute, like you @MutinousCode because many people just like to say whatever they want with really no credibility or merit to their comments... complain and make absurd comments or really trash everything you've worked to build and deliver for free to people. People like you and comments above help us stay sane, so thank you lol.
Thankfully, no. I assume this extends outside of the Monero ecosystem, but largely pertains to P2P for XMR deals. Haven't heard of anything, especially recently, in my inner circle which is nice, but I can tell you if there is they will be certainly put on blast with a public service announcement :D
Yessir! That is the whole point. Can we just normalize surveillance-free and censorship-resistant protocols and software, plz? :D
The Monero Community is live on vectorapp.io/hub you can easily join from there once you make an account (one-click creation, no KYC)
Weeeeee. Haha, yeah that is absolutely the goal. Believe it or not but several years ago almost lost contact with @jskitty when he pivoted to Matrix for primary comms and the UX for me was so horrible I literally almost lost my friend. I could not stand their UX, though I use it daily now "good nuff" is how I would describe it. Truly hope we can build something that not only is better in terms of privacy, but UX and also just feels better + more fun to use. I don't enjoy using Matrix, it just does what it is supposed to.
Right now in terms of Vector, <2 years of development, FINALLY just achieved what we consider an MVP, but really with the next release v0.5.0 (including screenshots you see) for the widescreen and full channel support, roles, etc. this will be our next major quantum leap. Once we get to that stage, would love to have your honest take and feedback, especially any solid recommendations like you had in this thread.
One day you get to use this cute emoji in chat ;3 🧡
[Teaser image at the bottom]
Hehe :3 Believe it or not, I almost feel silly for not thinking of that before to be honest. It's just a million new things everyday for many, many months it feels. That is exactly why we listen to all feedback and prioritize it for development. Solid addition and thank you and @MutinousCode for highlighting this. We have already mapped out most of the UX/UI except for a i info tag popup explaining Tor, benefits, and how to edit it once in app.
So, thank you both 🧡
Next release will be AilliA-friendly and maybe we will finally have a reliable channel to communicate with lol
Fully support this type of activity! Love to see it Isabella and wishing your business the best of luck
You and @AilliA have already encouraged us to begin mapping the UX/UI to implement this. Beginning with the widescreen client, v0.5.0. Thanks to you both! 🧡
You're right, at least that is what I see now as well. Appreciate sharing the Amethyst reference. It is a nice alternative solution to allow for an added layer of privacy before creating an account or logging in. Will discuss this with the team.
By the way, thanks for making this post. I assume you're already in the Monero Community on Vector/Concord. Feel free to tag me and say hey.
Ooo thanks for sharing that reference, FreQniK. Gotta check it out. Insane irony, yet also completely logical from another lens.
