This idea is voiced for a good while, like by Alaska Anon.

This is the math:
Get X € with 9,5% Interest over one year and invest it in Monero and or Gold

Have higher returns.

Do people have experience with this? What do you suggest? It seems 'risky', but also like a good bet.

  • of course a buffer is needed to cover the risk of a drop in XMR price

note that i posted this on monero.forum, but i think it fits here too

I think it depends on when and how you do it.

If you do it when Monero is near its long-term moving averages in the fiat shitcoin that your country uses, then it might be worth it, because then it's likely to gain in purchasing power and make the debt easier to pay back

You may also do this with the full intent of walking away from the debt and never paying it back, but I cannot personally recommend that as that would be highly illegal and we don't recommend illegal actions around here.

For me personally, I would not advise doing this as I feel as though it could put unnecessary stress on you

This is probably not worth the effort. You should take into account the swap fiat/Monero or Gold/fiat then the taxes you’ll pay on the profits if any.
Sincerely the hassle doesn’t worth it. If you buy Monero use it as a currency to buy something with it, just don’t swap it back for fiat.

I would not recommend it. Its no different than gambling. Just buy what you can afford, spend it as you need it, and then buy more when you can. If you go into debt to buy Monero, just know you are the only person you can blame if it goes south.
