Being interested in geopolitics, theology, and social psychology, I often read extensively about these topics. Perhaps too much?

Clearly, the situation looks quite bleak right now, it may always have been. Yet I used to think of it as "this too shall pass" or "tough times never last", though both are just hollow phrases meant to comfort the mind. I see the bright side, and I don't let this noise affect my life.
Despite effortless mental gymnics, I've observed that over the past year my mindset has become more bitter, and I'm drifting toward a nihilistic and fatalistic view where humanity as a whole is essentially doomed. The main idea right now is that the apes who invented tools are completely messing things up.
Rationally, I know doomerism isn't the way forward, and I desperately want to regain a balanced mindset, yet it feels like I must awkwardly and forcefully adopt positive thinking, which comes across as unrealistic.
I'm fairly sure others share this experience, and I'm eager to learn from stashers who are in the same process and have possibly developed coping methods.

My only counter is this: The problem can only be addressed once the scale of it is recognized. We are infested with communists and progressives and many of our own are so thoroughly infected that they may not be recoverable. Only upon diagnosis can treatment be administered. The emergence of the secular conservatives (especially secular conservative anarchism and anti-abrahamism) is a major development that reverses the unassailable inertia that has been prevalent for two millennia. No more. The momentum will begin to shift. Change is exponential. Our society is so fucking broken it is making us reassess the very building blocks of society. The house of cards upon which our society is built is swaying in the winds of change. Everything will change. It will be bloody. Things will get worse. But at the end of the day, you will have something that hasn't existed for generations:
Hope that you will live a better life than your parents and hope that if you raise descendants of strong character, they will have better lives than you. Not judged by the shallow materialism of cheaper plastic goods, but measured in the kind of meaning that makes life worth living.
Reject progressivism, reject abrahamism, embrace tradition. The tradition that lasted for longer than "democracy" has without degenerating into communism. I realize that my viewpoints are hard to swallow if not properly primed. Too bad. The patient is dying and the only remedy is the painful rapid expulsion of the ingested poison.
Hail the old gods.

Actually, that last link is valuable for everyone not just women. It does contain a focus on the importance of women encouraging radicalism though.
One day you may see things different. Under my humble eyes we are all the same. Divide and conquer has been a proven strategy for millennia. Still today we are just the result of someone else's game. Yes, ok, that sound's so nihilistic...
What's for you "the kind of meaning that makes life worth living"?
And isn't tradition simply a set of behaviours, a pair of glasses provided by previous societal experience to simply help an illusion be sustained and nursed? We are scared of death; we shouldn't. We are afraid of change instead of embracing it. Most indeed fight to keep things as they are. Mission impossible, I'd say, because everything changes, always. We are so deeply sucked into the illusion that I see no way to find truth anymore.
This link https://www.anarchonomicon.com/p/cry-havoc-and-bray-for-bIood gives a 404 not found page
That implies that your position is the more kind enlightened one, and mine is the one borne of hateful ignorance. It's not. I had a more progressive worldview on our sameness in terms of sex and race and had the truth repeatedly thrown in my face and I still rejected it for years. Differences aren't bad and they don't mean we all have to hate each other or can never work together under any context. That doesn't make them less present or important. Make no mistake, the overwhelming body of evidence backs my position. Regarding divide and conquer, we are divided. That's why the strategy works. The divisions aren't artificial. They take an already present irritation and they inflame it. There are fundamental differences between peoples in beliefs too. There are many people who would kill you and take your stuff if it made their lives a little better or for "the greater good". That's not an artificial divide. There are people who wish to harm you simply because you do well and it makes them feel bad they aren't doing as well. The world is not a fairy tale. We are never all going to hold hands and sing kumbaya and buy the world a coke. Trying to make that happen is actually a greater harm than previous ideologies. The greatest harms are done in the name of the good of the recipient.
"Still today we are just the result of someone else's game."
Yes, that's because we reject the types of effective resistance necessary to change that, because abrahamism (and derived ideologies) have eliminated our will to power and indomitable spirit. Eliminating the kumbaya lens is a big part of that. Has the world gotten more free since we began to forcibly integrate and globalize? No, especially not for the European countries.
Tradition is a byproduct of a working system that functioned for hundreds and/or thousands of years. They are a set of practices that emerge from the careful cultivation of hundreds and thousands of years of testing philosophy with real life application and it cannot be stripped for parts without losing the combined essence that comprised the whole. Messing with it should be done with caution. It's like disturbing an ecosystem.
Regarding death you must have ancestral memory here ;) (havamal):
16.
A coward believes he will ever live
if he keep him safe from strife:
but old age leaves him not long in peace
though spears may spare his life
Change should be accepted and embraced when positive and rejected when negative. Going back to an older more reliable set of philosophies and practices is also a change. The "progress" of society and history is not and has never been linear. Going from the USSR back to a more market based system is a form of change that is theoretically "regression", but it wasn't. The change was the regression that required rejection.
I am advocating for a different kind of change. A rejection of hostile ideologies, philosophies, and practices that have domesticated and enslaved my people. I hope to make resisting that change a mission impossible.
Regarding the broken link, you may have to find it manually on the anarchonomicon substack. The article exists under the name at the tail end of the url, but it won't let me link it in a way that doesn't result in a 404 when navigated to.
One day you may see things different ;).

Talking about European replacement? You're getting there. It's a hard journey, but I believe in you, you're smart :).
Most benefits come from negative changes and painful ideas. Only with time we can recognize the value provided by the lesson learned. The difference is made by ourselves, on accepting it or not, making the most out of it or not. Like it or not, we rise when surrounded by shit.
Me yesterday and today:
What's not to like? Society is eating itself from the inside. The virus that is abrahamic morality has developed to a point beyond recovery. It mutated and evolved into a variety of forms all fighting eachother for the right to destroy the host. Judaism, Islam, Christianity, secularism, humanism, progressivism, libertarianism 😱.
As has been done before, the barbarians will rise and conquer. Become a barbarian and your perspective will change. The future is bright for you and your posterity.
hatred, revenge and retribution for wrong doers works, but
i was always in punk and that was all about PMA and that's just the way i got built in that subculture.
PMA meaning Private Membership Association?
Positive Mental Attitude as in HR of the Bad Brains
Yes indeed, of course, optimism is my daily morning intake. The coin always has two sides, and there's one that is sunny and bright. Which one are we looking at? :)
From a selfish perspective, it is all great; just can't avoid falling into spirals and feeling the shtf when looking outside the window and talking with people deeply exposed to society.
I might simply needed to vent a bit.
I came from a time that you weren't hammered with shit all day everyday.
I can remember the 80s and 90s quite clearly and how no one gave any fucks about what was going on anywhere else.
So I do a few things.
I am "blissfully ignorant" to a degree. I've spent the past 2 decades putting myself in a position to not have to worry about most any elses shit.
I also eat healthy, exercise daily, have goals and dreams, garden, play the guitar or try to, play vids, tinker alot and more.
Life is still about choices and you are what you consume. You said you read extensively about those topics so it's important to you. But if your biggest hobby and passion is a negative well...that's an internal question.
I have a very firm boundary on my negative "curiosity" intake. As soon as I pick up on that red flag I'm out.
People didn't need skills like this prior because you didn't get fucked to no end to feel the pressure of societies shitty choices.
But now you do...so you need to know when to pull out.
Being blissfully ignorant is a thing, the unknow is so immense I can't even imagine it. Even from the cozy and safe place I created for myself, the little I know sometimes does not help when looking out of the window, looking out all that mess. The main issue is probably when relating with other humans and listening to what they have indoctrinated. Just make me feel secure.
Despite that, I still see sunny days and a colourful life ahead. At least for me lol!
I feel like after 2008 people lost hope and got demoralized. Then after lockdowns people began to oscillate between rage, anxiety, and severe depression. I miss the days prior to 08 when everything seemed possible.
"Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
It rings true for many things in life.
I would recommend to what you can to cover the different risks or topics you worry about, maybe have some backup power, a garden, mylar bags filled with shelf stable foods for long term food storage (works well as a 1 and done - rice, oats etc lasting 15-30 yrs), some alternative financial assets (well, this is assumed given we're here on stasher xd)
Make peace with what may happen, some choose to surrender to God, but you can find that peace in other means as well. I (try to) surrender somehow to the universe, and the things that are way outside of my control.
You also get the choice to disconnect from what isn't serving you.
Do you spend a long time on news, twitter, youtube with doom content, consistently ruminating? If you do, perhaps consider the gain vs loss on the time spent in that way on your life - financial spiritual etc. If that trade isn't working out for you, make a change.
Oh man, thanks for making this bounce in my empty skull again. Fully forgot about this maxim. I'll need to make a sign out of it and stick it to my fridge.
Oh, I see it: we have control of nothing, yet the illusion to contribute to something is so strong that it becomes real every time we simply imagine it. To do so is important to keep the mind clean from all noise produced by society, all the meaningless problems we believe need to fix.
I appreciate your view and comment, thanks for sharing.

smth like this^^ + carpe diem ヾ( ˃ᴗ˂ )◞ • *✰
<3 love your attitude :) Time to tend toward Absurdism lol
The way I handle things is by not engaging with news media at all. If something is important enough that I need to hear about it, I will hear about it either from reading online in my normal circles or by people telling me IRL.
this is the only one that almost works. if it is big enough someone will say it. the rest is noise that makes you bitter.
I personally can be discouraged but never despair.
The problem with this line of thinking is that it is the exact presupposition that has been intentional engineered in the school system and pop culture that will make you give up.
The idea that humans evolved from apes is a secular superstition, like climate change, gender fluidity or Keynesian economics. It aligns with their view of eternal progress and utopian systems of centralised government.
Upon reflection you will find all these superstitions are not only novel but used to demoralise people into simple daily pleasure seeking, the exact psychological environment needed to control people through technology.
People who will not die for anything will also live for anything.
We live in a lawless society where the majority of individuals, families, churches, businesses and government lack morals.
Even the Art of War outlines high moral character as the bedrock of an efficient army:
Such a society and people who forsake this are doomed to self-destruction.
You mentioned theology, this concept is throughout the Bible and is a tale as old as time.
For those who are humble, hope and strength is found within it's pages by carefully searching it out. For those who are proud, let what is dying die.
Thanks for reminding me about the ape's secular superstition, it's so ingrained... I call it social indoctrination. They are like us, full of life. Nothing to discriminate against. It is also true that being part of a society, even a small community, means giving up on some freedoms. It's all about balance, isn't it?
War is just business and, from my morally incomplete perspective, useless. Not sure why Monero people are so focused on it. Fear? Ideology of strength, power and dominion over... who know what. Is it a manly thing?
From my experience, death is not for everyone; the majority of us die without learning how-to. Most do not even get time to learn how to live; imagine learning how to die.
Theology goes above and behind the "Bible", that just the greatest story ever told. It must be interpreted accordingly.
While I don't agree with your dissent on evolution or with abrahamism in general, I will say that the referenced passage is valuable wisdom as is the art of war passage. I also agree that society has devolved into a shallow hedonism and morally and spiritually corrupt dystopia. I would supplement, people who will not kill for anything will also not live for anything. Dying is passive. Anyone can lay down and die. Not everyone can exert the pure force of will required to destroy those who seek to subjugate them.
