it is an extension, it is not part of the website.

It is an application that belongs to you and not to the server. Just like ublock origin is a tool that empowers you and is totally in your control

i took great care to build it in a way that it even works with javascript disabled.

it works by intercepting link clicks similar to how an adblocker works.

It could greatly reduce the friction here on stasher. every tip could be one click. even the wallet setup could be one click with the monerochan002 link

something i dont like about uri schemes with a custom protocol: most platforms will not recognize them as links. users have to manually select them and copy them into their wallet app another issue is the primitivism of these standards. they define mostly simple information…

ah, okay. I may have just too much of an inherent distrust of browser wallets just because the fact that the browser is such a large target area.

do you distrust ublock origin? extensions can be extremely empowering tools. its just that browser wallets have messed up so far, because they didn't take privacy and safety seriously. I mean safety specifically from an UX stand point.

You have to treat most browser wallets like a loaded gun. Because you never know when you press the wrong button your life savings will be sent to north korea. one wrong button press while you try to login to a website with your 40 thousand dollar monkey profile picture and it is all over

my vision is that we change this perception. that the browser wallet becomes a tool for liberation and self sovereignty

I do not distrust ublok, but ublok also doesn't hold money.
