I heard a rumor California counties actually monitor Google earth/sat view sites to see if people add unpermitted additions to their backyard (they probably rely on snitching primarily). Quite a dystopia.

I set up a fake business on Google maps to test some location based carrier offload functionality. State is so fast in reminding me that I can't operate unregistered business w/o giving taxes, lol. This's the second time they're sending something like this for a dummy business that doesn't exist and I used a name like ACME Corporation from a fictional universe.
They don't bother to check if such company actually exists. They're looking on the map and don't finding the name on their list and sending mails.
