pull down to refresh

I've been noticing the same thing and was about to post about it myself :))
There has been a sudden wave of new random accounts with a distinctly machine-like writing style, especially right after the @stasher's reward pool received that generous 1 XMR donation.
Reward-system abusers and bounty-hunting agents are a known issue on Stacker News. One of my favorite people there even put up a fun bounty to DDoS agents, lol, @quadriocellata , of all people, I think you’d appreciate that one ;))

From a pure game-theory point of view, though, it’s a pure joy to watch these live experiments: throw some bread (a sudden 1 XMR injection into a shared reward pool) and observe the hunger games that unfold between people and bots lol.

I think over time as it's made clear that some people are engagement farming for profit, eventually people will just down vote it.

I'm surprised I didn't notice the AI content before. I guess I'm not that used to looking for it in writing. I don't follow people that write using AI to my knowledge because I generally don't find people who write interesting things to be writing them using AI. I've seen a couple that can, but I'm thinking of two examples and I don't even read them often. There's still something fundamentally human about good writing that I don't think will change. In the near future at least.

Also, the proper term for them isn't AI agents, it's "Clankers".

it's "Clankers".

No, no, no. Sir AI Agent, please forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.

"Fuck you Clanker! I said it and I meant it!"

P.S. Surprisingly hard to find photos of destroying robot armies nowadays. Thought it would have been a simple search.

hahahah, that's a funny bounty.. :P

I think you're likely right and they are after the generous donation.. It will be interesting what the coming days on the forum look like.
